Beef And Noodle Chow Mein


This delicious treat is quick and easy to cook so prepare all the ingredients before you begin! For a kid-friendly option leave out the chilli to reduce the heat.

The ingredient of Beef And Noodle Chow Mein

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion cut into wedges
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 500g beef mince
  • 2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 2 chinese cabbage wombok finely shredded
  • 125g green beans trimmed chopped
  • 1 carrot peeled cut into matchsticks
  • 1 stalk celery sliced
  • 227g can water chestnuts drained sliced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 4 cup oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 long red chilli seeded chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 400g pkt fresh plain rice noodles soaked drained
  • 1 4 cup chopped coriander
  • 1 4 cup crushed peanuts optional

The Instruction of beef and noodle chow mein

  • heat oil in wok or large frying pan on high stir fry onion ginger and garlic for 1 2 mins until onion is tender
  • add mince and curry powder to pan and cook or 4 5 mins until browned breaking up lumps with the back of a spoon
  • mix in vegetables water chestnuts stock sauces chilli and sesame oil stir fry for 1 2 mins until cabbage begins to wilt and vegetables are just tender
  • toss through noodles and coriander stir fry for 1 min serve sprinkled with peanuts
